Research Centre for Irish Studies (RCIS), affiliated to the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at The British University in Egypt, is a campus based research centre established in October 2020. It was inaugurated by H.E. Ambassador Sean O'Regan, Irish ambassador to Egypt on 17 November 2021.
Today is a special day: St Brigid’s Day! This will be celebrated in many places. In Berlin the Irish Embassy hosts 'Brigid Meets Berlin 2021: Festival of Irish Female Literary Creativity'; in Brussels the Irish Embassy will welcome you to a webinar celebrating Irish and Belgian Women in Science and Medicine, among whom Jessica Traynor; while in Ireland there is of course a plethora of events to celebrate Lá Fhéile Bríde.
