McKervey, Emma

Emma McKervey studied at Dartington college of Arts. Her award-winning work is widely published across both islands, and she has worked for over two decades as an arts facilitator. her debut collection was published by Doire Press. Highland Boundary Fault is her second collection. She has just completed a Master in Poetry at the Seamus Heaney Centre at Queens University Belfast. 

McKenna, Linda

Linda McKenna is originally from Dublin, but has lived in Downpatrick in County Down for many years. She won the Seamus Heaney Award for New Writing in 2018 and the title poem of her first collection, In the Museum of Misremembered Things (Doire Press, 2020), won the An Post/ Irish Book Awards Poem of the Year in 2020. She has worked in heritage and museums for nearly 30 years. Four Thousand Keys is her second collection.

Renowned Northern Irish author, Lucy Caldwell, will be visiting the EUF Centre for Irish Studies in Flensburg as part of the EFACIS Irish Itinerary and will be doing a reading from her work on 27 November!

9th EFACIS PhD Seminar in Irish Studies

The 9th EFACIS PhD Seminar in Irish Studies will take place from 24 to 28 August and is organised by the Leuven Centre for Irish Studies in collaboration with EFACIS and the Irish College Leuven. Confirmed plenary speakers are Anne Dolan (Trinity College Dublin), Patrick Lonergan (University of Galway), Emilie Pine (University College Dublin) and Sinéad Sturgeon (Queen's University Belfast).
