Literary evening with Pat Boran and Sheila Armstrong

The Irish writers who take up a residency at the Irish College Leuven in October will read from and discuss their work on Thursday 19 October at 7.30 pm

Pat Boran is the author of a dozen volumes of poetry, such as Building the Ark (2022) and The Statues of Emo Court (2021). Apart from being one of the most acclaimed Irish poets, he is also a filmmaker, the editor of Dedalus Press, a former editor of Poetry Ireland Review and he has written books of fiction and non-fiction.

Armstrong, Sheila

Sheila Armstrong is a writer and editor from the north-west of Ireland. She is the author of two books: How To Gut A Fish (2022), a collection of short stories, and Falling Animals (2023), her debut novel. Her writing has been listed for the Society of Authors Awards, the Kate O'Brien Award, the Irish Book Awards, and the Edge Hill Prize. She is an Arts Council Next Generation Artist.
