The EFACIS Kaleidoscope Series engages with writers and artists from the island of Ireland about topical interests. While Kaleidoscope 1 collected fiction authors’ observations about the act of writing fiction Kaleidoscope 2 asks Irish authors what Europe means to them. On the centenary (1921-2021) of its existence and in the wake of Britain’s political secession from the EU (2016-2021), the political border that divides Ireland has acquired renewed significance within Ireland, in Europe and globally.
The Irish poet, playwright and essayist Adam Wyeth (Dublin) will read from his latest book about:blank (Salmon Poetry). about:blank is a four-part poetical sequence which blurs genre, moving across poetry, prose and dialogue. The work has also been produced as an audio-immersive work and premiered at the Dublin Theatre Festival 2021.
