  2. Lucy Caldwell at the 2024 AEDEI Conference

It was such a pleasure to have the opportunity to listen to such a talented author, and learning about her writing process and her inspirations was so interesting. I also enjoyed a lot her reading of some of the fragments of her writings, her words felt magically comforting.

It was an absolute delight to listen to Lucy Caldwell at AEDEI 2024. Not only is she a brilliant and sensitive author, but also a magnificent speaker: the audience was captivated as she read extracts from her work, answered questions, and talked about the care she employs in her writing, particularly, in the crafting of her short stories. a truly inspiring session and a truly inspiring woman.

I'm very glad I got to attend Lucy Caldwell's reading. Before I had only ever read a short story by her, but I left the reading feeling incredibly inspired by her writing and I cannot wait to get my hands on her new book Openings, from which she read an incredible passage, her writing is very human and visceral, it was almost hypnotic.
