The Applied Archaeology Programme in the School of Science at the Institute of Technology Sligo, are launching a new Certificate in Irish Archaeology, comprising two online modules starting in January 2020 and a Field Study course during the first two weeks of June, based in Sligo, Ireland. The 2 online courses cover Prehistoric Ireland from Ice Age to Iron Age and The Archaeology and Architecture of Medieval Ireland respectively. The Field Study course will include classes and field trips to several of Ireland's most famous sites. The courses can be taken together or separately and are offered in 5 and 6 ECTS credit versions. The 6 ECTS credit versions are the most easily transferrable to North American institutions.

Attached is a printable brochure and below a link to our web page. The Institute of Technology Sligo is a national leader in both archaeological education and online learning.

Please pass this on to any students, staff or members of the general public who might be interested. If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact Christopher Read.
