The Institute of Language, Literature and Media at Europa-Universität Flensburg announces the following vacancy to be filled by March 1, 2019:

Lecturer in English / Irish Studies
(50%, Salary Grade 13 TV-L)

This is a two-year position with a possibility for an extension.
Teaching duties include bachelor-level courses in English and Irish literature and cultural studies for the EUF English department, including exams. The teaching load is 8 SWS. Further duties include work for the editorial office of an international journal based at EUF as well as cooperation in administrative tasks.
Prerequisites include an outstanding degree (MA or comparable) with a focus in English/Irish literatures. Near-native speaker competence in English, experience in academic administration, teaching experience within universities, comprehensive knowledge of American literature and cultural studies, as well as experience in editorial work in the field of academic journals are also desirable.
