Key points:

 

Our 1-year postgraduate MA programme in Irish Studies features a core interdisciplinary course on ‘Belfast: Place, Identity and Memory in a Contested City’, in addition to a range of Irish Studies option courses and research methods and placement courses drawn from a range of disciplines.

 

Option courses for 2019 entry will include ‘Irish Poetry’, ‘Reading Historically: The Irish Novel in the 20th Century’, ‘Topics in Irish History’, ‘Public History Internship’, ‘The Politics of Northern Ireland’, ‘Violence, Terrorism and Security’ and ‘The Anthropology of Ireland’.

 

In 2019 we will have two Mary McNeill Scholarships available for US/Canadian applicants to the MA (closing date 3rd May 2019), which offers a fee reduction to successful applicants. Other
