These have been delivered by Medbh McGuckian, Prof. Paul Muldoon, and retired Prof. W.J. McCormack. The BCIS is also involved each June with the ‘Belated Bloomsday’ celebration in Budapest, organised by the Irish Embassy of Hungary. These included a visit from Prof Michael Laffan of UCD as Invited Speaker to the Károli Gáspár conference, ‘Rebels, Heroes and Terrorists: From Rising to Reconciliation’, and a delegation from the Keough-Naughton Institute of Irish Studies, University of Notre Dame IN, to the Pázmány University Symposium, ‘The Easter Rising and Central Europe’, including Prof. Christopher Fox and Prof Thomas Bartlett.
